MUSEUM OF MENSTRUATION AND WOMEN'S HEALTH
Sanitary belt: belt to hold menstrual pads (towels,
napkins)
The Boots Company, England, 1990s?
Belts to hold tabbed menstrual napkins - women
wore (and wear) them around their waist like
a, um, belt - are essentially unchanged since the 19th century (here). Most women seem to have hated
them and the pads they held (more here).
Tabbed pads and their belts virtually disappeared
after adhesive pads appeared.
