Kotex "Are You in the Know?" ad for sanitary napkins, 1944, Canada

The Kotex Are You in the Know? ads are priceless for their language and depiction of teenage habits, almost straight from the Andy Hardy movies. Kotex made the ads over three decades, which shows a persistence of attitude on the part of teenage society - and of Kotex You won't find Kotex mentioning its tampons; they were not nearly as successful as Tampax tampons and too large.
